VNA is proud to introduce our New Palliative Care Nurse Practitioner, Jessica Vickerson

Meet Jessica Vickerson, VNA's new Nurse Practitioner, who is bringing Palliative Care to VNA and Mercy clients.

Jessica received her undergraduate degree from Wheaton College in Norton, MA, a Master’s in Social Work from Boston University, and a Master’s in Nursing as a Family Nurse Practitioner at the University of Southern Maine. She has worked in behavioral health, adolescent psychiatry, community non-profit social support programs, and as part of a variety of oncology/hematology healthcare teams. She is a member of the American Nurses Association and the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners. She lives in South Freeport with her family and their golden retriever.

Jessica states: "I am extraordinarily proud of the work Mercy and VNA are doing to develop the Palliative Care Program for the community. This program will fill an important gap, creating a seamless, well coordinated continuum for those with serious illness between primary care, acute care, specialist care, community care, and hospice, when necessary."
