VNA published in prestigious Home Healthcare Nurse

During the fall of 2009, VNA Home Health & Hospice, in close collaboration with the Maine Centers for Disease Control, organized and performed over 113 school based immunization clinics aimed at protecting Maine children from the H1N1 influenza.

Leigh Ann Howard, RN MSN, Manager of Specialty Services, and Elizabeth Rolfe, RN CNA BC, Director of Clinical services wrote "Best Practice Model for Immunization: One Home Care Agency's Experience Providing H1N1 and Seasonal Vaccine" based on their experiences providing over 28,000 immunizations. After a rigorous approval process including a National Peer Review, the article was published in the October 2010 issue of the official professional journal of the Visiting Nurses of America, the Home Healthcare Nurse.
